Itinerary
The experience will take place in a small village in Kanchanaburi, a province in the west of Thailand that fills with natural wonders and historical heritages. You are invited to stay with a real Karen hill tribe family that has lived on the edge of forest-city border all their life.
Mr. Chalerm is the father of three children. He is a Karen from another village who moved in many years ago after his marriage. He’s packed with survival skills. Mr. Chalerm and his young son will lead you to do Karen cultural-aligned activities that will take place in the mountain.
The main activity is hiking on a non-tourist trail that will lead you into the forest. Some parts of the hike will be water hiking in the creek, passing the dense tree and waterfalls. Hidden in the deeper part of the forest is a huge waterfall. If it has received enough rainfall this waterfall will give an amazing sight of a hidden rainforest waterfall covered by dense forest.
At the end of the hike, you will arrive at our hut in the middle of the woods. Chalerm will set a bonfire and he will get dinner ready. At nightfall you tug in, hearing night birds and nocturnal animals from far away.
