The last stop of the tour is the castle of Maecenas Aramyants. It was built in the Swiss style. The Declaration on the establishment of the First Republic of Armenia was adopted here. The hermit actually lived in a cave without any material possessions not far from the monastery's location, while the complex was built by his students, who came to the mountains to receive their education. The monastery was established in it,s today location in 14th century.  After two major fires the monastery was restored in 1837. It is part of UNESCO’s world heritage list since 1983 and it is still an active monastery.

On this tour we will take a beautiful hike to visit the medieval Kameno Monastery, built in 630. The Monastery is located 2 km. east of Delvinë, in Voskopoje, Albania. Just beyond the monastery, down a dry river bed, there is a fresh water source and also a great shaded area to enjoy a picnic, a fire, or rest from the hike. As there will be spare time planned to enjoy a break. If you would prefer to enjoy the hike, without carrying additional items for your break, a stop at a well known country restaurant can be arranged (note: the meal is not included in your tour price).
