Xunantunich Maya Temple means “Maiden of the Rock," and it is located only 30 minutes south-west of San Ignacio Town, in the beautiful village of San Jose Succotz. This makes this site one of the most accessible Maya Temples in the area. To gain access to this magnificent site one must cross the Mopan River on a hand-cranked ferry. This is also a great place to pick up souvenirs and popular gift items like hand-made hammocks, slate carvings, jewelry, etc.

The Zambezi Sunset cruise is a superb way to relax and enjoy the Spectacular beauty of the Zambezi River. There are great photo opportunities against often-spectacular African sunsets. Flocks of birds skim the waterline as the sun sets behind the African skyline. Clients may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippo, crocodile, and elephant as well as enjoy the many different bird species. The Sunset cruise is very popular and includes finger snacks, beer, wine, local spirits and soft drinks.

The serene ambience that plays out on the river in the early morning hours is magical, and our Sunrise Cruise with Continental Breakfast affords a perfect opportunity to soak up the setting. Marvel at the mirror-like Zambezi as you drift and seek out animals emerging into the new day, all the while enjoying the warmth of the rising sun. Our Continental Breakfast of seasonal fruit, muesli with homemade granola, croissants and cheeses is prepared on board and served with freshly brewed coffee. This tour consists of guided visits to a Cave and a Maya Temple. All in one full day of adventure. We visit Actunich Tunich Muknal Cave followed by the Maya Temple of Xunantunich. This combo tour begins at 8:00am and concludes around 5:00pm.

A pleasant half day ride through the Belize rainforest on the banks of the Mopan River and through a private organic farm to the Xunantunich Archaeological site. This is a fabulous way to tour the Maya ruins and also enjoy watching wildlife along the riverbanks and in the jungle. You also pass through the little village of San Jose Succotz.

This half-day Mountain biking tour will allow you to experience the Village of San Jose Succotz which is a Maya descendent. This ride is really fun and not very technical mostly on dirt road, and rugged single- and double-track ride but some potholes and roots to make it interesting . A long slow climb, then downhill into farmland next to the Mopan river where you Tour guide will be sharing his knowledge of the flora and fauna. He will be doing stops on the way for you to enjoy the scene and birds. Then the ride will take you across the Mopan River on a hand-cranked ferry and pedal uphill to Xunantunich Maya Site. you will see the country’s second tallest Mayan temple, El Castillo (the Castle). Explore the archeological site with your professional guide before. A two hours guided tour will be enough to visit the site. After the tour you will be riding down where the tour guide will be stopping at the river bank for you to enjoy or snack or have a refreshing swim at the Mopan river.

Mountain Pine Ridge was Rio-Firo-Cave one of the first mountains to emerge from the sea several waterfalls, creeks, and rivers were formed to create Belize's two biggest watersheds, The Sibun River and the Macal and Belize River. The area being so big allows us to visit three of the most impressive destinations Rio Frio Cave, Rio On Pool, and Big Rock Falls.
