Free Walking Tour Nuremberg

Rated 4.9 Stars, based on 73 Reviews.
Hello and welcome to Nuremberg. As a Nuremberg native, I would be happy to present you my hometown. The focus will be on Nuremberg's "Golden Age" of the late Middle Ages with its craftsmen, traders and patricians. We visit, among other things, the main market, Kaiserburg and Tiergärtnertorplatz as well as Nuremberg's most beautiful half-timbered street. Of course, we also learn about Germany's greatest artist, Albrecht Dürer, and other personalities who shaped Franconia's capital. Unfortunately, a direct path from Nuremberg's "Golden age" leads to its romantic transfiguration and to the misuse of the city's reputation for the National Socialist "Party Rallies" and ultimately to complete destruction in the WWII. But this shouldn't be the end. The reconstruction of Nuremberg gave the city back its identity. It would be a pleasure to guide you through Nurembergs history and culture. Of course, you will receive all the information you need about your stay, including recommendations on restaurants and other sights.
See you in Nuremberg.

The Major War Criminals Trial was held before the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg from November 20, 1945 to October 1, 1946. Still to this day, in the southeast corner of Nuremberg, the remains of structures located on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds impress visitors with their immense proportions and stand as vivid testimony to the megalomania of the National Socialist regime.
