Descending over the mountains takes you closer to Lake Te Anau, Te Anau township and Lake Manapouri for landing at Te Anau Airport.

Less known than Doubtful and Milford, Dusky's peacefulness and beauty adds to your experience. With multiple landings made through this flight you will be able to enjoy getting up close with nature as well as getting some great photos for your memories. Make your way back over the mountain scenes to view the large Lake Manapouri before you land at the Te Anau Manapouri Airport. The hike begins with a gentle walk beside cascading waterfalls before ascending through lush forests of fuchsia, ribbonwood, and beech trees. Dusky Sound // Helicopter Scenic Flight


This tour departs Te Anau Airport in a helicopter and heads immediately over Lake Manapouri. You will travel west towards the main divide of the Fiordland National Park. Over flying hidden tarns (lakes) and deep dark valleys on your way to Dusky Sound. Certain times of year there will be snow on the tops of the mountains. You will cross over to Dusky Sound and have views around the valleys and see out to the coast of the Tasman Sea. A remote landing will be carried out – weather permitting – where you can smell the fresh Fiordland air and take photos of your adventure into the wilderness.
