Here are the most special windmills of The Netherlands such as the paint windmill, the sawmill, spices mill and peanut oil. Thereafter you will see a demonstration how Dutch clogs are made and there is a possibility to buy clogs/wooden shoes and souvenirs. The second stop will be at the Henri Willig farm where they will teach you how they treat their cows and there is a possibility to see how they milk the cows and you can see and touch the baby cows. Thereafter it is time to taste more than 30 flavors of very nice Dutch cheese for free! At last you will visit Volendam where you can lunch in one of the best fish restaurants in town, buy some very nice Dutch waffles or enjoy the nice Harbor of Volendam. Then we will drive to the Waterland area along the picturesque villages in this part of the country: Edam, Volendam and Marken. In Edam, we will walk along historical sights such as the square where the famous cheese market used to take place. Next, we visit a local cheese factory near Volendam, where the cheese master explains how Gouda and Edam are made. In the clog factory, you will discover the secrets of this typical Dutch footwear. Next, you will travel back in time to the 17th century, as we pass the cosy fishermen's cottages in Marken, the fishing harbour and the Protestant church.
