Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Chiang Mai Foodie Tours, Three Kings Monument, Old City, Chiang Mai 50200 Thailand
Food tasting, history, culture, and basic understanding of Buddhism. At 9am, all Foodies will meet tour guides at the Three Kings Monument, located in the Old City. (Specific details on your exact meeting location will be provided with your booking confirmation.)
Destination #1: Try a simple yet must-eat staple dish of Thailand, Kao Man Gai. The restaurant we will be dining at is a favorite amongst locals and visiting Thai, and has been family owned since 1957. (Note: this tasting is only included in our morning tour, as they make a limited amount each day and sell out by the end of the afternoon.
Destination #2: Visit Wat Chiang Man, the first temple built in the old city (walk)
Destination #3: Try Chiang Mai’s famous version of Burma’s Kao Soi noodle dish. In addition to experiencing this meal and learning about it’s history and origins, you’ll get to meet the family that adapted this dish.
Destination #4: Visit the Wat Gate Community Museum.
Destination #5: Chiang Mai’s number one dessert destination for Sakoo Sai Hmoo and Kao Griap Paak Hmaw. (Note: this tasting is only included in our morning tour, as their two specialties sell out shortly after lunch time)
Destination #6: Cross over the Ping River walking bridge and conclude with a street food experience at Warorot Market, which has been around for over a century, and is one of Chiang Mai’s oldest, largest and most diverse open-markets. Inside the market, we’ll stop at five of our favorite stands and try local highlights like freshly made Golden Curl, mango sticky rice, Thai iced tea, and more.
The tour will end around 1pm at Warorot Market.

Stop At: Warorot Market (Kad Luang), between Thapae Road and Chang Moi Road In the north of Nawarat Bridge and the west side of Ping River, Chiang Mai Thailand
At 4 pm, all Foodies will meet our tour guide at Warorot Market.
Destination #1: Warorot Market has been around for over a century, and is one of Chiang Mai’s oldest, largest and most diverse open-markets. Inside the market, we’ll stop at our favorite stands and try local highlights like Sai Oua (Northern Thai sausage which is made daily), freshly made Golden Curl, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced tea.
Destination #2: Stroll through the nearby Flower Market
Destination #3: Ride to our favorite, authentic Northern Thai restaurant where you’ll feast upon mouth watering staple dishes — Gaeng Hunglay, Larb Moo, Khua Jin Som, and the award winning Yum Samunprai herbal salad.
Destination #4: Ride to Wat Chedi Luang, inside the Old City, and journey back in time together to learn about this historical site.
Destination #5: One more ride to Chang Puak Gate night market where you’ll enjoy a couple street food must-eats. Taste the well known “cow girl” stewed pork leg on rice and enjoy a freshly made, hot rotee!
The tour will end around 8pm.
Note: On Saturday evening the tour will end at Wua Lai Saturday Walking Street at 8pm. We will visit Wat Srisuphun, the World’s First Silver Sanctuary.
