Leng Buai Ia Shrine is an ancient Tae Chew shrine. It is the oldest Chinese shrine in Thailand, built in 1658 during the Central Ayutthaya period. Chinese businessmen would come to the temple for refuge and pray for prosperity for their business. The Leng Buai la shrine is in a traditional Chinese architectural style.

Opened as Wat Leng Noei Yi in the 1870s, the temple served as an introduction of Mahayana Buddhism in Bangkok. King Chulalongkorn later renamed it to its present title. The temple is decorated with plenty of animal, floral and Chinese dragon motifs. The ordination hall houses the temples gold colored Buddha.
