A joint transfer from hotel to the central meeting point where the bicycles are waiting is included; the driver will be ready, waiting for you and your travel companions to meet your English-speaking biking guide. Getting properly fitted on your bike may take some time but it will be done for your comfort as you make your way through the Klongs and local communities to meet time-honoured floating market traditions.

The adventure includes boat crossings from one side of the waterway to the other in order to get to real authentic floating markets. Void of mass tourism, opened only during weekends and combined with a fun-filled bike ride, venture along Bangkok’s extensive canal network to see three different floating markets, each having its own characteristics.

Tucked away in the western corner of Bangkok in the Taling Chan district and surrounded by fruit orchards, Wat Saphan Floating Market offers a more authentic feeling of a traditional floating market compared to some of the more tourism-orientated ones.

Further down the biking path, the Klong Lad Mayom Floating Market is definitely a food heaven. This is a smaller, more authentic example of how trade on the canals in Thailand used to be.

Also away from central Bangkok, the floating market of Taling Chan is a scaled-down version of the more popular Damnern Saduak attraction. Comprising of a smaller number of boats and only open during the weekends, this local trading centre gives an authentic look into the Bangkok of yesteryear.

It is at these places where you still meet the Bangkok traditions of yesteryear alive and kicking.

Lunch is included at a local restaurant before we make our way back to the central meeting point where your driver who will bring you back to your hotel in downtown Bangkok only.
