Stop At: JEATH War Museum, Wat Chai Chumphon Ban Tai Subdistrict, Kanchanaburi 71000 Thailand

You will have a short trip at “The Jeath War Museum”, here you will see a lot of collections and stories related to World War 2. It is located on the bank of Kwai River nearby the Bridge on the River Kwai. Inside the building is also an Art Gallery on 2nd and 3rd floor. The paintings on the second floor relate ancient battles between the Thais and Burmese, while third-floor murals tell Thai history and provide portraits of prime ministers and other important political figures. This private museum also features Khmer-style woodcarvings, a pair of elaborate Burmese Buddhas, and excellent paintings of Chinese deities.

Stop At: Tham Kra Sae Bridge, Lum Sum 71150 Thailand

Tham Krasae is a famous viewpoint and well-known as it is considered the most beautiful and most dangerous viewpoint of the Bangkok – Namtok railway line, also known as “the Death Railway”. You can walk out of the cave and take pictures on the railway. If you look down on the railway, you will see Kwai Noi River flowing below where you must be very careful. Every day, a lot of Thai and foreign tourists come to visit the Death Railway near Tham Krasae.

There is small shopping street, local restaurants where you can buy nice souvenirs and lunch with local delicious sovours.

The Don Rak War Cemetery is one of the most emotive place in Kanchnaburi. Around 8982 POW (prisoner of war) graves are laid out in straight lines amidst the neatly manicured lawns and gardens. During world war 2, Japanese army occupied many parts of South East Asia and they planned to build a railway track between Myanmar and Thailand to support their logistics and almost 10,000 prisoners life costed this railway track.

One of important historical landmarks and memorials in Thailand, a symbol of the province and is a recommended place in Kanchanaburi travel guide. The history of the bridge is well known, as it was part of the railway lines in World War II and had seen its share of conflict and bloodshed. After World War II, the damaged bridge was renovated by the Thai government in 1946.

Mueang Sing is a historical park in the Sai Yok district, Kanchanaburi province, Thailand. The remains of two Khmer temples date to the 13th and 14th century. It was declared a historical park in 1987.
