Stop At: Wat Phra Chetuphon, 2 Sanamchai Road Grand Palace Subdistrict, Pranakorn District, Bangkok 10200 Thailand

Wat Pho, the official name being Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, is the first grade royal monastery, regarded as the most important one during the reign of King Rama I of the Chakri Dynasty. The importance of this is due to the King having managed the restoration of Wat Phodharam, an old monastery from the Ayudhya period, it re-established as a royal monastery located near the GrandPalace. Some ashe of King Rama I was kept under the pedestal of the principal Buddha image known as Phra Buddha DevaPatimakorn in the main chapel. Wat Pho is an important landmark in the Ko Rattanakosin area. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Buddhist fine arts and the existing Thai intellect which has descended from ancient times, taken as immortal careers knowledge.

The Baiyoke Sky Hotel, the longest champ of Thailand’s Tallest Building where you can enjoy the spectacular view of Bangkok. Maps, computerized multimedia kiosks and coin-activated telescopes help you identify what is laying 250 meters down below your feet. On the 77th floor there is the observation deck with an extra option to the revolving view point on the 84th floor from where you have a marvelous view over the city.

The Golden Buddha, officially titled Phra Phuttha Maha Suwana Patimakon, is a gold Maravijaya Attitude seated Buddharupa statue, with a weight of 5.5 tonnes. It is made in the Sukhothai Dynasty style of the 13th-14th centuries, though it could have been made after that time.

One of Bangkok’s most beautiful temples is the Wat Benchamabophit, also known as “the marble temple” or Wat Ben. As it is classified as a first class Royal temple, it is also a temple of significant importance.

The official name of the temple is Wat Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram, which means “the Monastery of the fifth King near Dusit Palace”, the fifth King being King Chulalongkorn the Great (Rama V).
