Why choose this Bangkok tour ?

Following pick up from your centrally located Bangkok hotel you will be driven to see some of the biggest attractions east of the city in Ratchaburi Province and Samut Songkhram Province. These include the Maeklong Railway Market, otherwise know as Risky Market, due to it being located on top of the train tracks. Watching the bustling activities of the market stop to allow a train to pass is definitely a sight to see!
Other stops will be made at the Damnoen Saduak floating market, in which the highlight is the long-tail speedboat ride to the market, Amphawa Sugar Palm Factory and Wat Kai Bang Kung which is a buddhist temple that has been built inside the roots of a banyan tree.
A delicious Thai lunch will be served at a local Thai restaurant and you will be returned to your hotel by approximately 6.00pm.

What makes Highlights of Ratchaburi & Samut Songkhram provinces a unique experience ?

Maeklong Railway Market is a traditional Thai market selling fresh vegetables, food and fruit. What makes the market special is that it occupies part of a train line. A few times a day, there’s a train running directly through the market. A few minutes before the train comes, vendors lower their umbrellas and move some of their produce away from the train tracks. Some are left on the ground, with the train passing right over them. Amazingly, nothing gets damaged or broken, and as soon as the train passes, the vendors move their goods back onto the tracks and continue as normal (until the next train arrives).

Famous for its tourist-friendly floating markets, Damnoen Saduak is the one you’ll find in the tourist literature on Thailand. Bring your camera along to witness the river packed with wooden boats overflowing with fruit and vegetables, which they sell to people standing on land. The scene is colourful and loud; just as you’d expect from a Thai market. It is just 100km from Bangkok.

One of the delights of Amphawa is the Sugar Palm Factory.

This unique, colourful temple is inside of roots of a banyan tree. This area is a mass of history.
