The gigantic golden statue of Luang Pu Thuat (a famous Buddhist monk), which can be seen even from the Asia Road, was built to bless people and to honour His Majesty King Rama IX and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of King Rama IX in a park that is as big as around 32,000 sq. meters.
The park is spacious and full of shady trees. The park area has been managed to facilitate people who visit the park and pay homage to Luang Pu Thaut, who people from all parts of Thailand highly respect. This park is also a tourist attraction and a place for passers-by to drop by and take some rest.

Wat Ratchaburana was founded in 1424 by King Borommarachathirat II of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. King Borom Rachathirat II (Chao Sam Phraya) built a temple on the site where his two elder brothers were cremated. His two brothers died in a power struggle to succeed their father, King Nakhon In, died in 1424. A series of bell-shaped chedis surround the central prang, and a large oblong-shaped viharn is situated at the front.

Wat Mahathat (Temple of the Great Relics) is located almost right in the center of Ayutthaya. Apart from being the symbolic center where the Buddha’s relics were enshrined, Wat Mahathat was also the residence of the Supreme Patriarch or leader of the Thai Buddhist monks. The temple is believed to be built during the 14th century A.D. (the early Ayutthaya period).

This old abandoned temple is an archaic site that is a ruin surrounded by households. Its unique component that attracts visitors is an arch densely covered with temple trees, which look beautiful and dignified until it is called the ‘Gate of Time’.
As in the cases of many other temples in Ayutthaya, there is no evidence to show when this temple was built; but it is believed to be built in the early phase of the Ayutthaya Era because of the temple’s layout is the one that was popular in that era. In addition, the main hall behind the main hall shows the trace of the construction of a newer pagoda to replace the smaller original one. Since the fall of Ayutthaya, Wat Phra Ngam has been abandoned.

The temple was built in 1353. The most striking thing of this temple is a white prang (Khmer-style pagoda), representing the cosmic Mount Meru according to the belief in the cosmology of Buddhism, located in the middle of the old compound and is built on an indented pedestal protruding towards the north and south.
