Red Lights, Hummus, and a Beer Stop or Three: Audio Tour of Nana

Bangkok Trip Overview

Bangkok’s Nana area is known for its legendary nightlife and contrasting populations, but there’s much more to see than that. Tucked away in hidden corners and down narrow alleys is great food, cool bars, and even a movie set or two. Plus, the huge variety of people that live and work in this neighborhood make it one of the best people-watching places in the city! As you walk, the VoiceMap mobile app plays audio automatically at exactly the right time and place using your smart phone’s GPS – even offline. If you have a few hours and want to see Nana up close and personal, this is the tour you need!

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Nana Plaza Bangkok, 3-3/1 Sukhumvit Soi 4, Bangkok Thailand

Nana Plaza is located in one of Bangkok’s strangest, weirdest, grimiest and most interesting red light neighborhoods. There are endless stories of men leaving here thinking they’ve found the love of their life, and ending up heartbroken, or worse.

Pass By: Sukhumvit Road Street market, Along Sukhumvit Road since Soi 1 to 20, Bangkok 10110 Thailand

You’ll find clothes, sex toys, pirated DVD’s, art, handicrafts and suspiciously-packaged Viagra I do not recommend on Sukhumvit Road. If you’re really desperate for some retail therapy, this area will do, but there are certainly much nicer places to shop for trinkets.

Pass By: The Pickled Liver, Sukhumvit Soi 7/1, Bangkok 10110 Thailand

The Pickled Liver is a solid little place with cold beer, sports on the TV, a loyal group of regulars and a friendly guy named Nick who runs the joint. Treat yourself to a cold one!

Pass By: Cheap Charlie’s Bar, Soi Sukhumvit 50 Phra Khanong, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10260 Thailand

There are few places in Bangkok that are as well known or have been around as long as Cheap Charlie’s. Back in 1982, Mr. Charlie opened the bar as a low-key place to unwind and enjoy a cheap beer. Unfortunately Charlie passed away a while back, but his brother took over and still runs the place today.
