Stop At: The Golden Mount (Wat Saket), 344 Chakkraphat Diphong Road Bang Bat, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Bangkok 10100 Thailand

In the late afternoon, an English-speaking guide welcomes you at your booked accommodation in downtown Bangkok before heading out into the city to meet your tuk tuk and its driver. Depending on traffic conditions, the location of your hotel and other factors, the start may include taking other means of public transport to mitigate traffic jams. Once joining with your tuk tuk, it is off riding under the evening sky to see, taste and walk among the capital’s most notable landmarks at night in Old Bangkok.

Our first stop is Wat Saket. Also known as the Golden Mount – because of its gilded Chedi on top – it towers 80 metres high above the ground and provides impressive, panoramic views over the Banglamphu area. It takes a climb of 320 steps to reach the top to admire the historic Rattanakosin Island district, so the perfect spot to see the final sun rays.
