It is a short ride from your hotel to the venue where you will be welcomed by the staff who will guide you to your table where your Khantoke dinner is served. Dinner is served in small bowls, known in Thai as Khan and guests are seated cross-legged on cushions at a low table, known as Toke in Thai. The cuisine served is northern Thai and it is prepared with the western palate in mind as traditional Thai food can be very spicy. The restaurant cum theatre is housed in a traditional wooden house, as homage to what once was a common site in Chiang Mai. Respecting traditional building techniques and decorated with lanterns and banners, unmissable when traversing the city, the whole ambiance reflects times gone by yet revived in a more modern jacket.

During this set dinner, entertainers will perform the intricate Forn Leb finger dance; the Forn Thien candle dance; the Ramwong circle dance; and the Ram Dab sword dance. Opt for an additional hill tribe show performed by various members of the Yao, Lahu, Meo, Lisu, and Karen hill tribes after you have finished dinner. A myriad of hand signals, colourful costumes and representing the various ethnic minority styles will pass the revue while feasting elegantly on northern cuisine with a bit of a western flair.

After this dinner and dance performance, air-conditioned vehicles will be at the ready to bring you and your travel companions back to your downtown Chiang Mai hotel.
