Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the mountains and their inhabitants of the Mae Tang Area and the picturesque Araksa Tea plantations.
The day will begin by traveling along the north of Chiang Mai among the picturesque rice fields that surround the route, continue with a stop at the Mae Malai market and then get to the Tea plantations where you can take photographs and participate in a demonstration by the local farmers.
After it will be the turn to go for a visit to the [authentic] Akha village [hill tribe village]. Ancestral population from the mountains of China and northern Laos and Burma, famous for their colorful traditional clothes.
After lunch in a local restaurant,
we will leave to arrive in the area where after 1h of [light] trekking,
the day will end with a visit to the waterfalls, where you can cool off with a dip in the cool waters.

Itinerary

08h30 Depart from the hotel by Van, heading to the north of Chiang Mai passing country
side and rice fields.

09h30 Stop to visit Mae Malai market on the way, the colorful and exotic local market, where
the local people and the hill tribes meet and trade their goods mostly fresh fruits,
vegetables and flowers.

10h30 Enjoying with the activities of Araksa Tea Plantation (Morning Visit)

11h30 Transfer to an Akha hill tribe village. Visit the colorful people who are found in the
mountains of China, Laos Myanmar (Burma) and northern Thailand. There are
approximately 20,000 of them living in the Northern provinces especially Chiang Rai
and Chiang Mai.

12h30 Lunch at Local Restaurant

13h30 Continue by Van to a starting point. Trek for 1 hour to the waterfall where you can
enjoy swimming and relaxing.

15h00 Trek back about 1 hour to the parking area

16h00 Back to Chiangmai
