Make the most of your Chiang Rai adventure

What makes Thailand’s Golden Triangle and Village Life a unique experience ?

Your English-speaking guide and driver will be waiting at your hotel in Chiang Rai City then heading out toward Golden Triangle

Once the playing grounds of drug lords and smugglers, nowadays the atmosphere is quite different: from local vendors selling souvenirs and handicraft, visitors will be guided up to the Wat Pra That Phu Kao, the famous viewpoint overlooking the three nations with the Mekong River playing a central role. Ample time will be given to shop around for souvenirs or locally-produced knick-knacks as a reminder to your visit to the Thailand side of the Golden Triangle.

Boat on Khong from Golden Triangle to Chiang sean, we follow the path along the Mekong River, still favoured by many for its varied scenery and sense of remoteness in making the Golden Triangle and the idyllic towns along the Mekong River an enjoyable destination.

Besides meeting a local hill tribe, you will thoroughly enjoy the scenic countryside that leads to Chiang Saen, formerly known as Wiang Hiran Nakhon Ngoen Yang when it served as the capital of the Lanna Kingdom.

It is here where we embark into a long tail boat for an upstream sailing trip towards the actual Golden Triangle area. With Laos on starboard and Thailand on the port side, you will be sailing on the border between both nations! You will disembark right before where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar converge.

We end our half-day tour with a short stop at Baan Kiew Karn Hmong hilltribe.
Baan Kiew Karn is a small settlement on top of a mountain where generation-long cherished traditions remain a part of life before we reach Chiang Rai.
