What makes Historic River Kwai Bridge Full Day Join Tour from Hua Hin a unique experience ?

From Hua Hin it takes about 2,5 Hours to the historical and famous Bridge over the Kwai River.
This bridge was made famous by Pierre Boulle in his book and the film which was based on it, The Bridge on the River Kwai.

Visit the Jeath War Museum. The museum is divided into two sections, one depicting the construction of the Death Railway which is meant to recreate the quarters used by Allied POWs, and the other consisting of reconstructed bamboo huts containing such items as paintings, drawings and photos of and by former prisoners, weapons, tools, and maps.

We then take the train along the Kwai River on the historic route, past beautiful scenery and the historically sad Death Railway, which earns its name from the sheer number of lives lost during construction.

We will have Thai Lunch Buffett in a Local Restaurant.
After we will visit the Death Railway. Estimates vary but, of more than 60,000 prisoners of war enslaved on the Death Railway, 13,000 are believed to have died, in addition to as many as 90,000 southeast Asian civilian forced laborer’s.
Even those who overcame the odds had to endure abysmal living and working conditions, including a humid, monsoon-plagued climate ripe for spreading diseases, food shortages, an absence of medical care, and the mammoth task of construction on unforgiveable terrain and with primitive equipment. That’s not to mention the incredible violence and torture inflicted by the Japanese and Korean soldiers supervising the construction.
The Death Railway was completed in October 1943.

This War Cemetery is also known as the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. It contains the remains of 6,982 Australian, Dutch and British war prisoners who lost their lives during the construction of the Death Railway.
After we will return to Hua Hin
