Known as Koh Pai in Thai, it is the most north-easterly island of the Phi Phi archipelago in the southern Thai province of Krabi. Lying approximately five kilometres off the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don, Bamboo Island is a stunning tropical hotspot that offers the perfect getaway from the crowds as the island is, most of the time, never too crowded. Measuring roughly 600m wide by 700m long, the island is almost shaped like a heart and is entirely surrounded by a strip of white sand.
At about 12:30pm you’ll arrive at the pier of Ton Sai Bay at Phi Phi Don to have lunch at a beachside restaurant followed by free time on the beach.
At Pileh Lagoon on Phi Phi Leh there is more time spent relaxing and swimming. There is also an option of a long-tail boat activity (additional expense) here and this is followed by visits to Monkey Beach and Viking Cave.
Maya Bay is where “The Beach” with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed. You’ll be here by 3:00pm for more swimming in the crystal clear waters or just relax on the beautiful beach.
