Krung Thep Maha Nakhon Trip Overview
Explore the mangrove habitat with a local fisherman. Hop in the “Rua Peed” (a traditional small motorboat) cruise along the narrow river from the village to the sea, spending some time to collect mudcrabs, clams and fish. The mangroves are home to many different species such as monkeys, birds, bats and insects. If you are lucky you might even encounter a hairy-nosed otter, a currently endangered species. After our trip we will bring all the fresh collected food ashore and cook it at the fisherman’s hut.

Explore the mangrove habitat with a local fisherman. After our trip we will bring all the fresh collected food ashore and cook it at the fisherman’s hut.
Because we need the tide to be on our side, starting time for this excursion can be variable.
First you will be picked up at your hotel by airconditioned car (or minivan). You will then ride htrough the beautiful rubber plantations towards the village. It’s possible to spot some buffalos on our way there. When we arrive you will walk a short distance with the fisherman to the river and you will get into a long tail boat. Cruising along the mangrove river, explore the beautiful scenery to the river mouth. We will arrive at some mudbanks which are only visible during low tide and will dig for some sea clams. You can also enjoy swimming. After this we go back to land and will have lunch/dinner. After that you will be driven back to your hotel.
