Is this a walking brew tour with a side of ghosts or a ghost tour with a side of brews?? While guests will have to decide that for themselves, we can tell you this is not an average "sit there and shut up " tour, but rather an opportunity to engage back and forth with a local Charlestonian. As a combined bar and ghost tour guests will visit two different bars where complimentary appetizer will be served at the first location and the guide will provide drink recommendations. As part of the tour guests will also walk by and receive history based ghost stories near graveyards, alleyways, and a haunted dungeon. The second bar is an historic building with a fantastic local beer selection. Guests will ward off the spirits with some "spirits." The tour will wind down at a hauntingly beautiful local park where one of the first female serial killers was hung. Don't stick around too long after the tour or you may end up a ghost yourself! (Please note we do not enter the graveyards.)

Our brewery tour is walk through Galveston Island over the years. Start with a view of our original brewhouse, our journey to our current brewhouse and a look into what is to come in the future. Many visitors to Bluff City think of its historic woes in the 1970s and 1980s, during the height of the Civil Rights Movement, when the inner city was rife with riots and looting. But Memphis is on the rebound, and on this walking tour, I’ll share how the city is reclaiming its spot as the cultural hub of the Delta blues, brews, and BBQ. You'll walk from Central Station Memphis, through the downtown area and the historical Beale Street Entertainment District, home of the Blues. Along the way, Phil, a tour producer and working actor, will show you opulent theatres, skyscrapers, churches, and monuments, including Orpheum Theatre, The Peabody Memphis Hotel, Tennessee Club and the National Civil Rights Museum.

Join the Brewing Heritage Trail on this mostly indoor tour to learn about modern and historic brewing and distilling, but that’s not all, we’ll get to sample beverages and visit a 19th century underground lagering cellar along the way! The first stop on the tour is Northern Row Brewery and Distillery, where we’ll get a close-up look at their distilling process, followed by a spirit sampling. Next stop are the lagering cellars of the historic Jackson Brewery, where beer was fermented and cold stored dating back to the 1850s! We then head to the Rhinegeist Brewery, located inside a pre-Prohibition brewing structure, where we’ll take a behind the scenes tour of their modern and historic facility (stairs are required for part of the tour), concluding with a flight of their seasonal beverages. Join the Brewing Heritage Trail on this seasonal tour and learn about gruesome and macabre events from Cincinnati's past. Grave robbing, a serial killing saloonist, and other murderous and deadly mayhem is explored on this new tour, which also includes a visit to an abandoned city street, overtaken by nature, as well as a flashlight tour of the Imperial Theater and the 19th century Jackson Brewhouse. Both have not been open to the public in many years and their visitation is only available through this tour! This is an outdoor walking tour of less than one mile and includes a beer at the Northern Row Brewery & Distillery. Some content may not be appropriate for young children, so please keep this in mind when booking. Tours run rain or shine and guests should wear comfortable footwear, as the tour route covers a variety of paved and unpaved surfaces. All guests will be provided with a flashlight for exploration of darkened streets and the inside of the theater and brewhouse.

We offer Saturday afternoon tours which will give you a behind-the-scenes look at 3 Memphis brewers and samples of their finest brews. Our knowledgeable guide and non-drinking bus driver entertain along the route. The tour round trips from The Broom Closet at 552 S. Main, Memphis in the Arcade building.
