"Bicycle, giant turtles and lava tunnels We will meet at the San Francisco Park in Puerto Ayora to pick up the bicycles, we will take the bus to Los Guayabillos and descend to the reserve. At Galapagos Frontier you will be greeted by a naturalist guide with more than 30 years of experience who will take you to discover the endemic forest of Galapagos, the area with the highest endemism of plants on all the islands. On the way we will pass through the forest of the transition zone, where we will be able to observe the giant tortoises along the way. We will be able to see several endemic bird species, such as the canary or Darwin's finch, among many others. Later we will have the opportunity to see two lava tunnels, with recent formations of stalactites and stalagmites, where we will learn about the formation of the Galapagos Islands and, with luck, we will be able to see the barn owl that lives in this cave. We will finish the tour with delicious juice from the fruit trees of the reserve.

Changuu Island also known as Prison Island lies about 30 min by boat from Stone Town. The island was formerly owned by an Arab and saw use for confinement of refractory slaves but no prisoners were ever housed here instead the island became a quarantine station for yellow fever epidemics. It was bought by General Lloyd Mathews and the jail (goal) which still stands was built in 1893 and hence the name “PRISON ISLAND”. In 1919 the British governor of Seychelles sent a gift in form of four Aldabra giant tortoises to Changuu. Presently this species is considered vulnerable and has been placed on the IUCN Red List. There is a dedicated foundation on the island which looks after the tortoises' welfare. This tour includes a visit to the historic Prison Island with its giant land tortoise. While on the island you will be able to observe and feed the tortoises, swim, sunbathe and snorkel.

This is a guided half day tour to Prison Island. the island is located 16km away from the old town of Zanzibar (Stone Town). The tour includes the visit of the sanctuary of Aldabra Giant Tortoise that were brought to Zanzibar by The Governor of Seychelles as a gift to Sultan of Zanzibar in 1915. The Tour also includes the visit of The prison ruins built by Sir William Lloyd Mathew in 18993 in order to inhouse Zanzibar Criminals. There are several other species found in the Island such as peacocks and antelopes which also part of the experience.
