This tour is a great way to experience some amazing sights of Alaska, wildlife, glaciers, and a rainforest within a half day. Your guide will pick you up from downtown Anchorage and drive along Turnagain Arm, which boasts abundant scenic views and Alaskan wildlife within easy access to the city of Anchorage. Along the way, you will learn many interesting facts about this area’s history, animals, and ecosystem from your experienced guide. You will visit the Wildlife Conservation Center, located at the end of Turnagain Arm and surrounded by mountain peaks. You will have the chance to explore on your own and visit the many animals in the center, including brown bears, wolfs, caribou, moose, and the endangered Woodland Bison. After the Wildlife Center, you will have the opportunity to see the majestic Portage Valley, a few miles drive from the Wildlife Center. Here you will enjoy several amazing viewpoints of glaciers, lakes, rivers, and a unique rainforest.

Start with a 1-mile round trip walk through Lake McDonald Valley, admiring its glaciated beauty and resident wildlife. Then, venture to the North Fork Valley with scenic stops en route. Take another 1-mile round trip walk along the Wild and Scenic North Fork of the Flathead River, learning about the environment and its history. After the walk, return to the Glacier Guides and Montana Raft office in the early afternoon, benefiting from your knowledgeable guide's expertise. Typically, the tour concludes around 1:30 PM.

Super jeep and Snowmobile adventure on the most popular route in Iceland. The Golden Circle includes Thingvellir national park, Geysir and Gullfoss. To add on an extra special we go for a 1 hour snowmobile ride on Langjökull glacier. What better way to see the most popular sites but in a full size Super Jeep. An unstoppable vehicle specially modified in Iceland to get around safely where regular cars can’t go. Note that you need to hold an International driving license to operate a Snowmobile in Iceland and the price is based on two persons sharing a snowmobile.

Soar over the majestic Southern Alps on a 50-minute breathtaking helicopter flight from Queenstown. A must-see sight while in port in Juneau is the Mendenhall Glacier and on this exciting 3.5-hour white-water rafting tour, you'll get up close to this impressive natural wonder! Sit back and have fun as your guide paddles you through Class II and III rapids at the foot of the glacier. While you float along the 6-mile (9.6-km) route, take in the amazing sights of the glacier, the sheer mountains and the abundant wildlife. No rafting experience is required and this tour is suitable for the whole family. Want to be more active and involved? Ask for a paddle raft, where you will follow your guide's commands and power your raft through the 1-mile stretch of class II rapids. Whatever your preferred activity level, we can accommodate you.

For safety reasons, mountain clothing is necessary for this activity. In case you do not have the appropriate clothing you will have the option to rent. The trailhead is only 15 minutes from the city, where the peat bog begins, and multiple wild trails that become more and more challenging appear. After crossing a river, the path goes deeper into the Fuegian forest, where lengas and guindos accompany you as you move towards the tree line in a 600-meter elevation gain climb. The last part of the trail takes place on high-mountain terrain with a challenging incline that finishes when we get to Tempanos lagoon. If the weather is favorable and if the group of hikers is in good condition, we will go around the lagoon to approach the Vinciguerra glacier and look at its cracks and moulins. Afterward, we will take the same trail back to the transfer that will take you to your hotel.

Experience the Mendenhall Glacier Guide Hike, a thrilling 6-7 mile adventure! Your journey begins with a 3-mile trek through the Tongass National Forest, the world's largest temperate rainforest. Your experienced guide will lead you through this wilderness, winding past beaver ponds and scrambling up exposed glacial terrain, where the trail fades into the wild. Upon emerging from the forest and reaching the final ridge, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking view of the Mendenhall Glacier's jagged facade and its ice river. Here, we savor panoramic views of the glacier, indulge in hearty snacks, and capture awe-inspiring photos. Gaze upon the glacier's deep blue crevasses, cascading icefall, surrounding mountains and Nugget Falls. This hiking tour is not for the faint of heart; it demands exceptional balance and sure-footedness. The trail includes 800 feet of elevation gain, through rocky, uneven, and slippery terrain. It's a memorable journey that promises unforgettable views.

In this 2-day tour you'll visit all attractions that make Iceland the best travel destination: powerful waterfalls, black sand beaches, Jokulsarlon, the one and only glacier lagoon, and will go hunting for the mighty northern lights.

The Matanuska Glacier is a premiere attraction in Alaska (and our absolute favorite!) Up to 5 guests will enjoy a scenic drive along the beautiful Matanuska river in a late model Chrysler Pacifica (avoid the hassles of big tour vans!) We'll stop on the way for snacks and coffee and enjoy a guided tour as you relax in comfort and style! Once at the Glacier, we will join a guided tour by the local Matanuska Park Guides throughout the glacier and told about the history, size and scope as you traverse the canyons, peaks, valleys and caves on this beginner to intermediate hike. Also, worth noting, there are always easier ways if you don't care to go through a cave, you can take a peak in and go around. (Licensed by Alaska's Transportation Department, I am setting this up as 3 – 6 people because of the way the Viator commissions and Park fees work, if you are just one or two people you can still book the tour but I need to charge for 3 – 5 people to make it feasible, if that makes sense.)

This trip begins with a highlight: after a short ride on countryside tracks, we will arrive at the amazing waterfall "Reykjafoss". You will soon understand why Icelanders describe it as "the steaming falls"! Later on, you will be having fun crossing quite a few rivers on your trusted companion, the Icelandic horse. In the amazing natural paradise of the river delta Héraðsvötn you might, depending on the season, be able to watch birds hatching or pick a handful of crowberries whilst taking a short break. Take to the skies above the Fox Glacier Township before heading towards the Fox Glacier and exploring the dynamic icefalls on this 20-minute helicopter flight. A snow landing above the glacier allows you to set foot on a largely inaccessible area and breathe in the pristine alpine air as the majesty of the landscape surrounds you.

See the land where The Lord of the Rings trilogy were filmed. After a complimentary hotel pickup, you will arrive and meet your helicopter pilot. You will fly along the Shotover River, over the mountain range from the opening scene of The Two Towers on the way to landing on a glacier alongside the Misty Mountains and get a sense of what it might be like to cross The Redhorn Pass.
