I've been an outdoor adventure guide in Big Bear for the last five years. I've been exploring all the best hiking trails in the Big Bear Valley for the last 20 years. It's hard to find an easy hike in Big Bear; A lot of trails are steep and hard for little kids. This trail is actually stroller-friendly also, which you can not say about a lot of hiking trails in the mountain communities. I love the peace and solitude of this trail in the woods. It's hiked mostly by locals who live in this neighborhood and is not a tourist spot. I personally love to share the local history around the Big Bear Valley. I really enjoy pointing out different flora and fauna to my younger guests and teaching them how interesting nature can be like the wild native insects we might see on the trails

In the western part of Messinia where the Ionian sea embraces the shore of Peloponnese, we hike the hill of Palaiokastro, the famous beach of Voidokilia and the lagoon of Yalova the southernmost station of migratory birds between Europe and Africa. The area being integrated into the environmental program natura 2000 is the largest wetland in southern Greece and offers shelter to wild migrating birds, which we may have the opportunity to observe. Here lives the endangered African chameleon while numerous birds such as herons, kestrels, aegean seagulls, flamingos, ospreys, royal eagles and other migratory and endemic birds take shelter at this hospitable and safe environment.

Hiking around the Caldeira is an experience you should not miss out if you visit Faial. This collapsed volcanic cone is one of the main landmarks of Faial. With 2 km in diameter it is an impressive reminder of the force of nature. The trail around the perimeter is about 7 km long and can be done in two to three hours. The hike around the Caldeira is physically easy, but those suffering from vertigo might find a couple of well secured passages a bit of a challenge. This hike is only worthwhile to be done if the weather is clear and the wind is not too strong. You will be rewarded with stunning views of the neighboring islands and the untouched nature.

The tracks we visit are not mentioned in the guidebooks and known only by the locals who are familiar with the forests around. If you are interested in reading maps I can teach you interesting things about the tourist map to be a better map reader and to be able to orientate better in the nature. We do a different tour to Cotopaxi. We enter through the North entrance of it. The tour is for places where tourists do not go, with the #ebike we have the opportunity to visit sites that make them accessible to all. Then we take the road that goes to the shelter and if we have the conditions we can go up to the parking lot at 4650 meters. Immediately on foot, we can continue until 4860m. After we'll return to Quito.

The tour takes place on the perimeter of what was once a large lake and, during the hike, we will have the opportunity to stop at some points where there are important element of the territories: farms, impressive trees (including a centuries-old oak, probably the oldest in Umbria) and the natural area of the "marcite" (which is a grassfield covered in a thin layer of water), artificially created over 1000 years ago.
