We accompany you to visit Mondello and the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia on Monte Pellegrino. We leave at 1.30pm from Piazza Verdi 59 towards Mondello. This location is a seaside resort in the city of Palermo, famous for its white sand beach and its crystal clear waters. In Mondello you can spend some free time available to have lunch and relax by the sea. After an hour and a half dedicated to Mondello and a free lunch we continue to Monte Pellegrino. Suggestive promontory from which you can see Palermo from above. In this location we will accompany you to visit the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, patron saint of the city. The return is scheduled at 5.30 pm from the sanctuary of Santa Rosalia. Travel time 20 minutes to Mondello, stop in Mondello 1 hour and 30 minutes, travel time to Monte Pellegrino 20 minutes, stop in Monte Pellegrino 1 hour and 30 minutes, travel time 20 minutes to return to Piazza Verdi,59.

The ascent will take place along the "old roads" used by pilgrims and devotees on the Feast of the Patron Saint of the city of Palermo. You will appreciate the history of the Mountain and visit the sacred cave (formerly, the place of worship of the Phoenician goddess Tanith,nowadays embedded in the Sanctuary dedicated to Santa Rosalia). We will continue visiting the plateau, where the II WW' s anti-aircraft batteries were positioned and that, nowadays, offers a breath-taking panoramic view on the coast and the Gulf of Palermo; we will later proceed along the off-road tracks at the top of the mountain designed for MTBs enthusiasts. A stop will be planned to let you refresh and taste local street food specialties of the city. At the end of the excursion, we will reach the city cycling on the panoramic paved road and admiring stunning views.
