We depart from dock 4 of Puerto Colón, we will set sail in search of cetaceans, we will navigate in the Teno-Rasca special conservation area and up to a distance of 3 miles from the coast, reaching a depth of one thousand meters. We will go in search of the Calderón tropical, one of the main resident species of Tenerife. From the moment we leave the pier very close to the coast, we can already find dolphins, turtles and seabirds. With luck, we may also see some of the migratory cetaceans that frequent the Canary Islands. We will approach them at a reasonable distance so as not to disturb them and to be able to observe, photograph and record them, the crew will be happy to explain and show you the information on the cetaceans that we have on board.

The trail follows S. Lourenço Point, the eastern-most peninsula of Madeira island, named after the caravel sailed by João Gonçalves de Zarco, one of the three discoverers of Madeira island. The semi-arid climate and its exposure to North winds have sculpted the low vegetation and explain the lack of trees, which distinguish this area from the rest of the Island and is a veritable natural heritage. Here you can see the Island’s basal plate at its best and several rare and endemic plants. Of the 138 species of plant identified on the peninsula, 31 are endemic (exclusive) to Madeira island. In terms of fauna there is one of the largest colonies of seagull in the region. Along the route you can often see several bird species. In the sea, you may be lucky enough to spot the world’s rarest seal, known in Madeira as a Sea-wolf (Monachus monachus). On the horizon to the South you can see Ilhas Desertas (Deserted Islands) and to the North the Porto Santo Islands.

Remerschen Lakes, a protected area that belongs to the Natura 2000 network. Come and visit with me one of the ex-libris of Luxembourg. Located on the border between Luxembourg and Germany, this place that was once a sand extraction field, became a nature reserve since 1998. This circuit is about 13 km long and presents a great flora and fauna richness. Starting next to the Remerschen recreation center, this path is easy to follow, we will circulate mainly on dirt tracks, and do a few meters on a paved road. In the middle of our adventure we find a challenge with 580 steps and will feel the reward of seeing a splendid landscape, composed of charming vineyards and hills. Along our walk, you will have the opportunity to enter several birdwatching posts and observe vegetation of moist soils. This hike is a roller coaster of emotions and awe of nature. We can go to baths in summer season and visit the Interpretation Center that is located in our way.

Elafonissi Beach Elafonissi is located 76km west of Chania in the southwestern most point of Crete. Elafonisi is an oblong, which often "breaks" in two parts by water giving the impression of being a separate island. Elafonissi is a “Natura 2000” protected area. The island is full of dunes with sand lilies and junipers (like-cedar trees). The endangered turtles Caretta-Caretta and several rare animals nest on the island and it is strictly forbidden to remove any plants, animals from the area. Exotic beach with white sand and turquoise waters, reminding of the Caribbean, are formed on either sides of the peninsula. The sand is pinkish in many places, taking its color from thousands of broken shells.
