Founded by 9 x South African Surfing Champion Roxy Davis, we are renowned not only for the quality of our equipment and coaching, but even more for the overall sense of community. Everyone is welcome to come and share the stoke with us; whether it is something you are thinking about trying for the first time or something you have loved for years. Muizenberg is rated one of the safest beaches to learn to surf, the gentle gradient of the sand bank makes for fantastic soft rolling waves which give the learner surfer plenty of time to get their feet… Round off your lesson experience with a browse through our retail store and chat to our team who are happy to share their knowledge and experience on surfing and other attractions in the area. Group Lessons offer: One instructor shared by two or three students. Allows for close communication between student and instructor but, at times, the student must wait their turn to catch a wave. Beginners receive a 15 minutes theory, safety and practice in the sand, before getting in the water, the other levels go directly to the ocean after a short evaluation. Lessons are divided in two sessions and in the half time break we provide coconut or purified water and some fruit. Round-trip transportation is included.

We are the first surf school in the city of Cartagena and we are the training school for the Bolivar Surf League, we have the endorsement of the COLOMBIAN SURF FEDERATION. We currently receive recognition as the BEST SPORTS CLUB AND BEST SCHOOL IN COLOMBIA by the COLOMBIAN SURF FEDERATION. Our instructors are high-performance athletes and belong to the Colombian surf team and have participated in different championships surfing incredible waves in various parts of the world. In our team we have some of the coaches of the Colombian children's and senior surf team. You will be in the best hands to learn the right way with the right technique. We love being able to transmit our love for surfing and respect for the sea to the people who book this experience with us! All Catman Surf School lessons start on the sand with ocean awareness and safety. We’ll go over the basics on how to position yourself on the board, paddling, and how to pop up. Afterwards, we’ll transition to the surf, followed by your first go at small white water waves. Your safety always come first, and Sergio will be by your side every step of the way. Once in the water, he’ll show you how to read the waves, position your take off, and the etiquette of wave riding. His private lessons are built to make your adventure on the waves one to remember. Our school, Onda Pura, was established in 1994 and is one of the first surf schools to be implemented in Portugal. We are located in Praia de Matosinhos, considered one of the best beaches in the country with perfect conditions for surfing.
