During the rule of Emperor Augusto, Conímbriga grew into a more urban scale including an amphitheater, thermal baths and Roman Forum. Though the most impressive remains of that period are the domus – manor houses – and the insulae. These structures are so well preserved that you will feel like travelling back in time!
