Sand Island

Enjoy this narrated adventure that will show you the “Best of Bermuda” highlights. You will travel aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned mini bus. Be amused by spectacular views from Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse, the oldest cast iron lighthouse in the world. Your mini bus will take the South Shore, home to Bermuda’s world famous pink sand beaches. This is your chance to put your toes into the sand or capture some photographic memories to take with you. Travel into Hamilton and enjoy some free time to shop, enjoy a local nibble or just stroll through town and this will complete the bus tour portion of your tour. Then, make your way back to the pier area at your leisure and you will be give a ferry ticket to hop on a ferry back to your Cruiseship in Dockyard and continue to enjoy awe-inspiring views of the island on the ferry ride to your ship to complete this well-rounded three-and-a-half-hour tour of the island of Bermuda.

PLEASE NOTE THAT START TIMES FOR EACH WALK ARE DIFFERENT DUE TO THE TIDES AND YOU WILL BE SENT THE START TIME FOR YOUR CHOSEN DATE. The route across the sands at low tide is atmospheric, evoking the time of Saxon Kings and Celtic Priests. We are likely to see and hear Grey seals as they bask on the sands. You will hear stories dating back to Roman times and can begin to imagine early pilgrims making the crossing to pay their respects to St Aidan and St Cuthbert. Holy Island is a special place and the best way to approach it is across the sands – walking barefoot if you want to get the most from your experience! The walk is one-way to the island, returning to the start point in my vehicle after we have spent some free time on Holy Island.

This excursion offers a motu day with barbecue to discover the reef island. Participants will discover a lunar landscape on the ocean side of the motu. The dark volcanic rock jagged by erosion forms an atypical setting and many natural pools for swimming. The sand dunes that look like the desert is one of the picturesque spots for tourists in Bintan Island. Although seems to be naturally made, the sand dunes are the result of mining excavation after the ban on sand exports. Near the place, there is a lake that offers clear blue waters.

Rangko Cave is a hidden pearl, located on the edge of a rocky beach that can be reached by land using a fishing boat or by ship from Labuan Bajo, the beauty of this cave is not visible from the outside, we have to climb a little about 5 minutes from the beach, you can see a hole that has been made into a stone staircase to go down into the cave which has blue water like a small lake with stalactites so that it creates an amazing view, we can swim in the cold water of the pool if you are lucky you can stop at the sand island to take some good photos because the sand island depends on the tides and continue to horber
