Tea Experience

Located in Dotonbori, center of Osaka's Namba/Shinsaibashi district, this facility allows you to experience the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. A tea ceremony instructor will explain the culture and history of the tea ceremony and then make and drink tea for everyone. Children are also welcome, and caffeine-free matcha milk is provided.

Enjoy the very best afternoon tea that Edinburgh has to offer. Indulge in a selection of sandwiches, cakes, savouries and warm home baked scones with Traditional preserves and fresh whipped cream. The Tour explores all the main attractions in Edinburgh, including the historic Edinburgh Castle, Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Old Town to name a few. Duration of tour is between 70 – 90 minutes. We are licensed so additional drinks can be purchased from our onboard bar. This tour is not suitable for children 5 and under and they can not be permitted on board the bus.

In this tea ceremony, you will understand and taste all kinds of premium tea, such as green tea, oolong, black, and fermented tea (5–6 kinds, depending on your resistance to the amount of tea). From the best season, typical terroir (all the tea is selected from real masters in China, which is even harder to get on the Chinese market), with my explanation of the historical, geographical, health-beneficial, and cultural stories. I will share important skills, such as how to brew different kinds of tea at the correct temperature and timing, with my 15 years of tea ceremony experience in Europe.

A qualified tea master will hold a full-fledged tea ceremony in a traditional tea room. You can listen to the etiquette of the tea ceremony and how to use the utensils while enjoying the matcha that is made in front of you and the beautiful Japanese sweets. It will be a wonderful experience.

In this 60-minute class, you'll engage in the world of tea in a way that you never have. You'll try 4 varieties of organic loose-leaf teas and will get in an interactive discussion of identifying a mystery tea as well. Like a fine wine tasting experience, one can divulge an infinite amount of time exploring its specific characteristics but unlike wine, the tea world is kinder to beginners. Anyone can learn to identify and taste teas like a pro with mindful and guided practice. So this class is an equally exciting gift for tea lovers of years or those who are simply looking to dip into the tea world for the fun of it. The tea tasting session is especially fun with a team or a group of family/friends.

In this guided group tour, you will visit the Amchong Tea Factory, Directors quarters and Meeting with Tea Pluckers and with some time leftover to enjoy snacks and collect souvenirs. You will also be able to click beautiful photographs.

Join our professional Tea Taster for a 1.5-hour exploration into the world of tea and tea culture. You’ll discover the diverse aromas and taste of various teas and learn how to describe them as you sip and savor. You’ll gain hands-on experience brewing your own tea with a gaiwan, experimenting with the crucial elements that make a great cup of tea. You'll also learn what professional tea tasters look for when evaluating tea. By the end of the session, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the art and science of this beloved beverage.

With the help of our tea instructor, experience the authentic tea ceremony. First half of the lesson will be tea ceremony. See how tea instructor use the utensils and conduct the tea ceremony. Matcha tea and sweet will be served and learn how to drink with proper manner. Feel free to ask any questions. In the second half of the lesson, try "Bon Ryaku Temae" the simplist tea ceremony for beginners. Learn the name of the utensils in Japanese, learn how to arrange them on the tray, learn how to whisk Matcha tea.

Wan Ling will share her unique experiences of sourcing the teas you will enjoy during the experience. As we know the exact provenance of each of the teas, we can share about each tea's journey from field to cup, as well as give you an insight into the people and places behind the teas. Our tea house provides a calm and relaxing space, which allows you to focus on enjoying the tea and gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese tea and tea culture. You are encouraged to engage and ask any questions you have, so we hope that you will feel confident when talking and enjoying tea in the future.
