Tsavo West

Tsavo is situated between Nairobi and Mombasa and made up of two separate parks, Tsavo East and West. This 3-day safari will take you to visit both parks. Tsavo, opened in 1948, is the oldest park in Kenya. The slightly larger Tsavo East is generally flat, with dry plains and the Galana River. Tsavo West National Park is wetter and more mountainous. Tsavo West is known for its Red Elephants and holds the legend of Tsavo man eaters- two lions accused of killing and eating around 135 men in Kenya in 1898. Guests will stay in Savora Salt Lick Lodge, a luxurious escape set in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary overlooking a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plains.

This tour covers the beauty of Tsavo park which is divided into two with different features and landscape . A short safari which is not tiring but has plenty of experience with wildlife and nature. In 3 days there is a big possibility to see the " Big Five " that is Lion , Elephant , Rhino , Buffalo and Leopard .

“Theatre of the Wild” The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River is one of the most evocative images in Africa. This, along with the 300 kilomtere long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species.
