The Deathly Dark Tour of York is a grim and theatrical, dark comedy walking tour, perfect for those who have a bit of a wicked streak and are looking to explore the dark and spooky history of the city with one of our guides, famous for their wonderfully dark sense of humour. Please note, this is NOT a scare attraction, it is a storytelling experience. The tour is family friendly, but some may find the stories frightening. Children must remain with their parent/guardian at all times. Tour group size is 20-50 people, although this will change depending on the season. Private and small group tours are available on request.

I would love to be your Tahoe local friend and lead you on a 2 mile hike to a beautiful overlook of Emerald Bay and the ENTIRE Lake Tahoe basin. In my 25 years of living here, I have explored many of the trails and much of shoreline around Tahoe and this vantage point is one of my favorites. Also available for the sunrise, sunset, and/or moonrise! Great for groups and team building. Beginner and kid friendly too. Intermediate-level hike available too. I am happy to try and accommodate mobility challenged/differently abled folks on the hike. The experience begins with a paved walk on a campground road. Then the trail turns to dirt with a slight incline for about ¼ mile until we get to the lookout point. If you are visiting Tahoe during the winter time, the hike will most likely be covered in snow. Snow boots or hiking boots will be needed. I can bring a sled to help tow the kiddos. The hike may be weather dependent due to heavy snowfall.

The history is exciting and its beauty of everyday things is admired by creators from foreign countries. – In the Edo era (1600s-1800s), people in Hasami made efforts to mass produce cheap and functional pottery. After that, pottery was used as 'Kurawanka-wan', which is simple and reasonably priced for ordinary people though pottery was previously an expensive thing. Hasamiyaki was one of the bestselling products during the Edo era in Japan. – You will experience casting, that is the fundamental step of making Hasamiyaki, after learning the history of Hasamiyaki and the system of making pottery in Hasami. – The work by the artisan is surprising as if making a plastic model. – You will try painting after slip casting, then get your own pottery delivered to you after the tour.

The Rio de Janeiro Carnival is undoubtedly famous throughout the world, but not everyone really knows the history of what is considered the greatest show on the planet. The history of the carnival is really interesting and is still alive today because it mixes with the history of Brazil and the city of Rio, with the phenomenon of slavery, with the culture, religion, music and folklore of African origin. In this tour of approximately 7 hours we want to tell you a little about all this and to do so we will start from an area of the city center known as "Little Africa" where the history, culture and art of those who have unfortunately had to suffer the tragedy of slavery gave life to the wonderful spectacle of the Carioca carnival. We will then visit the Samba Museum (it will be a real experience!) and then we will go to know the place where the allegorical floats and costumes of the Rio Carnival are made.
