On this tour you are accompanied by a historian with a deep passion and knowledge of Wales. You will learn some Welsh, sample traditional Welsh food and learn about the ancient history and culture of Wales. Gareth, your guide is a fluent Welsh speaker and he will give you an insight into Wales that wouldn't be available with a standard tour operator. Enter the National Park to visit Henrhyd Falls, the tallest and most spectacular waterfall in South Wales. Proceed to the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog and enjoy a short stop at the second oldest tree in Wales, a stunning yew tree that is 3018 years old. Stop in Brecon town, where you can admire the canals—voted the prettiest in Britain. Continue to the town of Merthyr Tydfil to tour Cyfarthfa Castle, located in a picturesque park (optional activity, entry free not included). Next Marvel at Caerphilly Castle, the largest in Wales and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a stroll around this magnificent fortress, or relax with an ice cream in the town. End your day at Castell Coch, a fairy-tale castle nestled in the woods. Please note that the visit to the waterfalls will involve a 30 minutes walk. The path may be steep and muddy, so we recommend wearing boots and rainproof clothing.

Marvel at the cliffs of Nash Point, part of the Wales Coast Path, which offers spectacular walking routes with breath-taking views of the Bristol Channel. Afterward, spend some time at Dunraven Bay, a popular destination known for its impressive limestone cliffs and rock pools. After exploring the city you will have time to explore one of the best art galleries in the UK, before being whisked off to the largest castle in Wales where you can explore this medieval marvel. Finally, you will be taken to one of the prettiest castles in the UK where you will be able to see inspirational interiors and breathtaking views of of Cardiff.

See three Castles around Cardiff in one day. Starting with Caerphilly Castle, the largest Castle in Wales. After exploring the Castle, you will be taken to the magical Fairytale Castle, Castell Coch, nestled in the hills to the north of Cardiff, overlooking the Welsh Capital. From Castell Coch, you will be taken to Llandaff Cathedral, where you can visit this impressive 900 year old Cathedral. Finally, you will be taken to Cardiff Castle in the heart of the city, where you will be left to visit the Castle, and independantly explore the city centre and its Victorian arcades. Alternatively, you can choose for your tour to end in Cardiff Bay, where you can spend time in Europes largest waterfront redevelopment, centrered around a man made 500+ acre lake Please Note: We are unable to accomodate luggage on this tour, and each person will be limited to one backpack / small bag
