Join your guide for this small-group, half-day tour to Lagoa do Fogo. Explore the natural beauty around Lagoa do Fogo's tranquil shores and the blue hue of the natural reserve. Explore a 4WD trail to a fresh water waterfall. Witness evidence of volcano activity at Ribeira Grande, a small town in Caldeiras. Choose from an morning or afternoon departure time when you book with hotel pickup and drop off included. Visit the Caldeira Velha with its hot waterfall and natural pool for swimming.(optional)

It allows you to explore Ribeira do Cavalo beach and the surrounding area. It allows you to kayak into two small caves and pass through tunnels and narrow passages between rocks. It allows you to stop in some coves and observe the coast. It allows you to take a route through the Arrábida Natural Park. At 947m above the sea level rises Pico da Barrosa, where throughout the route we can observe the diversity of the local fauna and flora. An enormous crater hides the glamorous Lagoa do Fogo at the top of the Fogo (Fire) Volcano at 575m above sea level. This  Levada walkst starts at the intersection of the regional road with Levada do Norte, somewhere between Garachico and a little below Cabo Girão. levada with the municipal road on the Boa Morte site (Ribeira Brava parish) or the Ribeira Brava village. Thus, the duration of 2 hours of 6 km

Amazing hike in the central part of the island at the bottom of the volcano of Lagoa do Fogo, where you will hike among lush vegetation, water streams and a beautiful natural waterfall that you can even swim in. In the end of the hike, you will also have the opportunity to relax on the hotsprings that are naturally heated by Lagoa do Fogo volcano. Also included in this tour is one of the most important views of the Island – the viewpoint to the caldera of Lagoa do Fogo – one of the seven wonders of Portugal! Located in the heart of São Miguel, the Lagoa do Fogo Volcano adds an exciting highlight to this diverse jeep tour. You’ll venture off the beaten path, exploring rugged dirt trails and hidden spots inaccessible to conventional vehicles. This is one of the most beautiful hikes in São Miguel Island. On this hike you will get to see an amazing valley, lush nature/vegatation, an d several natural waterfalls (inside tip – you can even swim on them if you feel like it!) Also included in this tour is a visit to the only tea plantations in Europe. The Moinho do Félix hike is located on the north coast of the island, in the village of Lomba de São Pedro, and it is a 5.5 km hike (3,4 miles). It is considered as a medium difficulty trail that takes around 2 hours to complete.
