During this kimono rental or yukata rental experience, you can rent and get dressed in a kimono or yukata (during the summer) in the Gion District of Kyoto. Then have the chance to walk around the city and see the sights in this traditional attire.

In Japan, it is said that less than 5% of people can wear kimono now days. Because it is difficult to wear a kimono by yourself. The problem with vintage kimonos is that Japanese people in the past were small, so the size of kimonos is small. Usually, when wearing a kimono, the part called "Ohashiyori" is folded. By making kimono into two pieces, the folding part has been eliminated and improved so that even tall people can wear vintage kimonos. Kimonos are generally handmade and made of silk, so they are expensive and cannot be purchased affordably. Some of our kimonos are gorgeous and have fine detail which normally cost like thousands of dollars. But with the use of vintage, they are affordable for everyone. Our extra cost for kimono is very easy to distinguish. If you decide to go with no extra charge, you can choose a basic kimono. Why do you make your own kimono? By making the kimono into a two-part style, ANYONE can easily wear a kimono.

Learn to draw the line with brush. Check the sample carefully to copy the Chinese charactor. We will ask your name so that we can prepare your name in Japanese Phonetics. Practice your name in Japanese. Write your letter on the rice scoop. Rice scoop(shamoji) is lucky item in Miyajima. Bring back the good luck with you! You can take pictures as much as you want while you are in here, and we will take pictures of you doing the lessons. You can take pictures in our Japanese garden, too. Our lesson is very good introduction to the Japanese authentic cultures. Wearing kimono make it even more special that could be the highlight of your trip.

Conveniently located just 1 minute walk from Asakusa Station. We will help you smoothly from your visit to kimono rental and return. Celebrate your special day with a traditional and cute kimono. During the cold season, we recommend that you bring warm innerwear (top and bottom) with you. Please wear tops with deep collars so that they are not visible from the collar, and bottoms that reach your ankles, such as spats. The time required for dressing is 60 minutes from reception to departure. There may be delays or changes in order depending on the time of day and season. Please make your reservation with plenty of time.

When making a reservation, please let us know the number of men, women, and children (age, male and female). There are no upgrades or accessories available. This is a private studio that requires a reservation to ensure the privacy of our customers. Kimonos are available not only for men and women, but also for children, tall sizes, and plus sizes. It takes about 20 minutes for each woman to dress. There is also a luxurious type of kimono called furisode. English, Japanese, and Chinese language support is available. Japanese kimonos are mainly small sizes to fit our physiques. But we have plus-size Kimonos you can enjoy! If you are traveling alone and want to take pictures, you have to ask someone or use a tripod. However, Asakusa town is very crowded and it is difficult to use a tripod. There are also cases where you want to take photos with two people as a couple. We will take as many pictures as you like within the time limit. I will also take you to recommended photo spots. ★Notes★ Please read carefully the notes in What To Expect.　More than that size, may be canceled. Please measure the size of the participants before booking. We will send messages after you booking, please check the message and answer the questions about your body size.
