Don Juan Tours Arenal is a family business that through its tours teach visitors the whole process behind two very important products worldwide, Coffee and Chocolate. At this Coffee and Chocolate Tour, we will teach you the entire Coffee process, from the seed to the delicious cup of coffee. Once the coffee tour is finished, we will start with the sweetest part of the tour, the delicious chocolate. Like coffee, we will talk about the entire Chocolate process, from the seed to the delicious chocolate bar and we will end up selecting some members of the group to grind the cacao beans and make their own chocolate bar. Once finished you will have the opportunity to taste several types of chocolate such as Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate.

Your private cigar factory tour includes a cigar, coffee, tea, water or non-alcoholic beverage and a mamajuana shot. You will experience an educational cigar factory tour which includes an overview of the history of the Dominican cigar industry, the process of growing cigar tobacco (from seed to harvest), how a cigar is made, the proper way to light and smoke a cigar and what to look for in determining the quality of a cigar. You may even take a try at rolling your own cigar. You will also be given some valuable information on coffee and mamajuana during your tour. Both our special mountain roasted coffee and complete bottles of mamajuana are available for sale.

El Quetzal de Mindo is the beginning of the Ruta de Cacao (Chocolate Route) in Ecuador. See the entire process of making chocolate at an artisan small batch scale. We begin at the cocoa tree, taste fresh fruit and see the entire process to the finished chocolate. We will end with a tasting of a variety of chocolate, our chocolate barbecue sauce and chocolate tea and of course our world famous brownie.  Tours operates seven days per week from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Every hour on the hour we will begin a new tour.

This is one of a kind experience where you get to print fabric with your own hands….it is so special and unique .we give you a cotton bag….so you can use it later too. It is fascinating seeing how the designs get stamped on the fabric creating a new look. You need to try it to enjoy it…and that you will I promise. Moreover you get to see how metres of fabric is printed using special dyes and different techniques. All in all it is an amazing experience.

With the help of our guides, you will learn how to roast your own coffee using a Skywalker Roaster in our covered, outdoor gazebo. Our guides will help you through the entire process from picking your roast, how to package your fresh coffee and answer any of your questions along the way.

In our Chocolate and Cacao Workshop, we'll use the finest cacao sourced from the 'Montes de María', a region nestled in the Colombian Caribbean. During our experience, you'll explore the diverse textures and aromas of cacao. You'll enjoy the entire creative process, from the bean, and its entire transformation process to the making of cocoa-derived products such as bars, bonbons, and truffles. You will discover the fascinating world of chocolate, as you will have the chance to design molds using cocoa butter-based paints, work with artisanal chocolate, and decorate with their favorite toppings.

Fergana Valley Tour is the best tour for learning more about Uzbekistan’s famous handicrafts from the masters themselves. Uzbekistan is famous around the world for its textiles and ceramics. In the early morning (around 6 am), we will pick up all travelers from their hotels in Tashkent, and drive to Kokand which takes 4hrs and goes through the Kamchik Mountain Pass. You’ll visit the workshop of Rustam Usmanov, a famous ceramic artist whose works are displayed at international exhibitions. You’ll get to see the pottery-making process and a collection of local ceramics. After that, drive to Margilan, take a stroll around the traditional market, and head to the Yodgorlik Silk factory to observe the production of silk featuring traditional Ikat designs. Learn about the entire coffee production chain process, starting with the seed, we will observe different types of varietals, we will learn about the history of the grain, we will walk through a coffee plantation, we will go through the coffee mill to finish roasting the beans that will be be prepared in a delicious drink product of our land to talk about its marketing and preparation. During our walk we will learn about the biodiversity of the area, since the crop is surrounded by different types of trees, fruit trees, plants and flowers.
